Learn from our axe masters, drink at our bar ~ it's a lot safer than it sounds, and have a blast! You'll want to keep coming back over and over again. If you're the competitive type, join one of our axe throwing leagues, offered all year 'round.
What is an Axe Throwing Experience?
You and your friends will spend 1 - 1.5 hours with an axe as you learn, practice, and then finally play some games or square off toe-to-toe in a group tournament that will result in the crowning of an axe throwing champion.
PLEASE NOTE: We block off the time slot and guarantee you one hour of axe throwing. We start off each 90 minute session with a WATL Certified Axe Throwing Coach demonstrating several axe throwing techniques, a safety briefing, which includes axe safety rules, lane rules and our house rules.
Experience it. Learn to throw.
Our "Axperts" will show you how to safely handle an axe and chuck it with accuracy while giving you tips on how to capture that illustrious bullseye. WATL Certified Axe Throwing Coach will spend time with you and your friends. Whether you are looking to pick up a new hobby, learn a new skill, or simply find a reason to hang out with some of your favorite friends, we are here to serve you with professional axe throwing coaches and an unforgettable experience
A Safe Experience.
Yes! despite what may many think when they hear about axe throwing. It is actually very safe. We are very strict with our rules and they are to make sure that everyone is throwing the axes in a safe manner. Hatchet Hangout ensures all the materials for axe throwing sessions is up to standard and in proper condition. Our equipment is purpose built, clean and meticulously maintained. Prior to each session, our axe throwing coaches go through and complete a checklist of items including checking and changing the target boards and preparing the axes making them sharp enough to stick to the targets but not sharp enough to harm yourself to the touch.
